Old(er) Facebook Chat Icon in Windows 7

This works assuming you are using Windows 7 and have Internet Explorer 9 installed.

1) Open Internet Explorer 9.
2) Go to https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php
3) Drag the tab to the taskbar.
4) Close Internet Explorer.

Now if you click the pinned icon, it will probably take you only to Facebook homepage. That happens because for some reason Internet Explorer does not manage to save the URL correctly. In order to fix that, follow the next steps:

4) Press Win + R, enter %appdata%\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\Taskbar and press OK to open the folder in Explorer.
5) Open Notepad (e.g. by Win + R and typing in "notepad").
6) From the folder opened in step 4, drag and drop the file "Facebook" to Notepad.
7) Replace its content by:

[InternetShortcut]
Comment=Start the Facebook app
URL=https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php
IDList=

and save. You should now have a FB icon in the Taskbar which opens an IE9 window with the older version of FB chat.

Notes:
- I thought creating a new file (link) in the User Pinned / TaskBar folder would be enough, but for some reason it did not work for me.
- Of course it is not necessary to use the Run dialogue (Win + R) to open the folder and Notepad, but I find it the easiest to describe.
